<p>Described herein is an on-vehicle infotelematic system (2) comprising interface means (3) for a data-storage electronic device (5), and electronic control and processing means, integrated in the on-vehicle infotelematic system (2) and connected to the interface means (3), configured to communicate with an engine control unit. The electronic control and processing means are configured to:
€¢ detect presence or absence of a data-storage electronic device (5) connected to the interface means (3); and
€¢ send to the engine control unit a control signal which is a function of the presence or absence of a data-storage electronic device (5) connected to the interface means (3), in such a way that the engine electronic control unit implements a corresponding engine control mode such as to achieve a corresponding engine performance profile ( P 1 , P 2 ).</p> |
