<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which can efficiently prevent distortion of a press roller. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device is equipped with a pair of a heating roller and a press roller for fixing a toner image onto a medium to be fixed by heat and pressure. Further the fixing device is equipped with a rotation means (123) for rotating the press roller, a detection means (151) for detecting stopping time of the press roller and first rotation controlling means (151,152) which rotate the press roller by the rotation means based on detection result of stopping time by the detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
