PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display ultrasonography image stereoscopic in depth by equipping an image collecting means for obtaining a plurality of ultrasonic images in a direction orthogonal to a fault section, and image synthesizing for obtaining right and left eye image for stereoscopic vision and a displaying means for individually displaying the right and left eye images. SOLUTION: In a stereoscopic displaying image memory, image processing calculation is performed based on the principle of stereoscopic vision for a plurality of deep side fault layers in a direction orthogonal to the array of probes 1. First, a left eye image for stereoscopic vision is obtained by directly adding and synthesizing the image of sections (a) to (d). Then, a right eye image for stereoscopic vision is obtained by using the image of the section (b) among the deep side fault layer image of the sections (a) to (d) as a reference, shifting the image of the section (a) left from the reference by 4 pixels (-4 pixel right), the image of the section (c) right from the reference by 4 pixels and the image of the section (d) right from the reference by 8 pixels and adding and synthesizing the images of these sections (a) to (d). |
