PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize the substantially entire width of a casing effectively for heat exchange by setting the effective length at a front heat exchanging section shorter than that of a back heat exchanging section thereby forming a piping space on the side of the back heat exchanging section. SOLUTION: As compared with the entire width L1 of a casing 1, an indoor unit has an effective length L2 (<L1) at the front heat exchanging section 2 and an effective length L3 (<L2) at the back heat exchanging section 3. A piping space 7 is formed at the back heat exchanging section 3 of the casing 1 and the pipe rising section S1 and pipe distributing section S2 for coupling refrigerant piping 11 with the front and back heat exchanging sections 2, 3 are disposed in the piping space 7. Since the pipe rising section S1 and pipe distributing section S2 can be disposed in the piping space 7 by setting the effective length L3 at the back heat exchanging section 3 shorter than the effective length L2 at the front heat exchanging section 2, the front heat exchanging section 2 can be fully spread across the lateral width of the casing 1 and the entire width L1 thereof can be utilized effectively for heat exchange. |
