An anode active material is provided to suppress increase of hardness, to secure a space capable of enough infiltrating electrolyte and to manufacture a battery with excellent charge and discharge efficiency. An anode active material comprises a spherical graphitized material of mesophase microbead having micropores. The graphitized material of mesophase microbead has 10-50% of a rate of external surface area to the whole surface area. A battery comprises a cathode(21) and anode(22). The anode has an anode active material layer installed at an anode collector. |
