MAIN FRAME AND OPTICAL DISK DRIVE WITH THE SAME

A main frame and an optical disk drive with the same are provided to relieve vibration due to disc tremor and noise due to the rotation of a disc and to uniform speed distribution and pressure distribution of optical disk drive internal air flow by forming a side wall of a narrow width portion and a wide width portion. A main frame comprises a pair of side walls(115) which are apart in order that a disc is inserted into a pair of side walls. A pair of side walls comprises: narrow width portions(118a,118b) in which the separation distance between two is greater than the diameter of the disc; and wide width portions(116) in which the separation distance between two is greater than the narrow width portion. The rotation center of the disc is arranged between the wide width portions.
