A METHOD AND CONTROL DEVICE FOR ADAPTING A MINIMUM VALVE STROKE

A method and a control device for adapting a minimum valve stroke are provided to obtain wide power range in an internal combustion engine by individually using value optimized to the minimum valve stroke to a sample. A method for adapting a minimum valve stroke comprises following steps. Previous valve of the minimum valve stroke is replaced with new value. The operation parameter of the internal combustion engine is determined. If operation parameter is within a predetermined value range(204), the previous valve of the minimum valve stroke is restored(205) and if not, the new value is maintained. The acoustic signal of the internal combustion engine is determined as the operation parameter.
