A METHOD FOR PERFORMING CODEBOOK BASED BEAMFORMING IN THE COLLABORATIVE MULTIPLE INPUT MULTIPLE OUTPUT COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method for performing the forming based on a codebook in a cooperative MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) communication system is provided to enhance reception performance by transmitting a signal to a terminal, which is close to a cell boundary, through an amplified beam. A terminal receives a signal from a serving base station and a neighboring base station(S50). A PMI(Precoding Matrix Index), which is determined for a part of base station among the serving and neighboring base station based on the received signal, is transmitted(S51). The PMI is used to perform cooperative MIMO or reduce interference.
