A tubular assembly discharges sausage meat at a controlled rate into a surrounding reefed sausage skin as this slips off the tube. The rotating tube (11) and reefed skin (13) are surrounded by a multi-part tubular jacket (15) the rear part of which is joined to the filling tube and drive (17) unit (19). The jacket discharge section (21) regulates skin release and may be disassembled. The discharge (21) section is flexible and is in contact with the skin at several points around the inner tube. The jacket rotates with the filling tube. |
