A food composition containing ginseng fruit extract is provided to inhibit the expression of HIF-1alpha, which normally expresses in a stressful environment while increasing oxygen partial pressure and to prevent a decrease in blood flow velocity. A food composition for improving resistance to environmental stress contains ginseng fruit extract as an active ingredient. The environmental stress represents ultraviolet ray stress or low oxygen environmental stress. The food composition inhibits the expression of hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha. The food composition restores transdermal oxygen partial pressure. The food composition has one shape selected from the group consisting of drink, pill, granule, tablet and capsule. The content of the ginseng fruit extract depends on the type of foods.
