ANTIBODIES TO IP-10 FOR TREATING BONE DISEASES WITH BONE DESTRUCTION

A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating diseases related to the expression of RANKL (receptor activator of NF(nuclear factor)-kB Ligand) is provided to suppress the expression of IP-10 (IFN(interferon)-gamma-inducible protein 10). A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating diseases or disorders related to the expression of RANKL (activator of NF(nuclear factor)-kB ligand) comprises: a pharmaceutically active amount of IP-10(IFN-gamma-inducible protein 10), and pharmaceutically allowable carrier. An antibody to IP-10 suppresses the expression of RANKL and TNF-alpha. The antibody to IP-10 is monoclonal antibody produced by hybridoma cell line of deposit numbers KCLRF-BP-00142, KCLRF-BP-00143, KCLRF-BP-00144 or KCLRF-BP-00145. A method for screening an anticancer drug candidate which suppresses the expression of RANKL comprises: a step of preparing the antibody specifically binding to IP-10; and a step of analyzing binding affinity of antibody to IP-10.
