A control method for an IP camera and a server therefore are provided to change the state of a camera by remotely accessing a server through an internet telephone. A USB(Universal Serial Bus) connector(801) is connected to a USB memory device, and an internet call connection unit(803) is connected to an internet call connection server by operating an application program stored at the USB memory device. An IP camera controller(804) receives setup data of an IP camera from a camera information server. An video information receiver(805) receives a video signal from the IP camera according to the setup information.
