METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING VIDEO DISPLAY IN MOBILE TERMINAL

A method and an apparatus for controlling image display in a mobile terminal are provided to automatically adjust the number of frames to be displayed according to a screen size, thereby reducing visual distortion. An image signal is generated by frames having an inner boundary and an outer boundary(410~470). A ratio of a size of each generated frame and a ratio of a size of a display area are measured(480). According to the measured size ratios, the number of frames to be displayed in the display area is controlled. Images of frames corresponding to the number of the adjusted frames are displayed on the display area(492). When the ratios of the sizes of the frames and the ratio of the size of the display area are measured, outer coordinates values of each frame and a ratio of a size of a fixed display area are measured.
