A data sensing apparatus and a method are provided to steadily perform the data sensing by operating the bit line and the bit line isolation transistor at the same time. A data sensing apparatus comprises a bit line separation switching unit(10), a switching controller(20) and a sense amplifier. The bit line separation switching unit separates or connects the folded bit line of the adjacent POL array(CA1,CA2) from or to the sense amplifier according to the bit line isolation control signals(bics1~bics4). The switching controller outputs the bit line isolation control signal for turning on/off the bit line isolation transistors(T1~T4) of the bit line separation switching unit. The sense amplifier amplifies the voltage difference of the folded bit line of the selected cell array. |
