A wide display apparatus is provided to variably adjust a display area of an image in horizontal direction when an image of normal mode is displayed on a wide screen, thereby extending lifetime of a display panel. A wide display panel unit(130) displays an image according to a driving control signal. An image display area location setup unit(120) provides image display area location setup information. If an image signal of normal mode is received from the outside, a panel driving controller(110) receives the image display area location setup information. The driving controller generates the driving control signal and transmits it to the wide display panel unit. |
