A laser pointer control device of a display and a method thereof are provided to control a laser pointer based on the coordinates of a desired position on a screen. A laser pointer unit(30) outputs a laser point on a screen. A laser pointer driving unit(29) controls the output direction of the laser point. According to the selection of a user, a memory unit(24) stores coordinates of a position where the laser point is located. When a key signal is inputted from the user, a controller(21) controls the laser pointer driving unit according to the stored coordinates so that the position of the laser point can be changed on the screen. |
