A method for recording contents on a disc, a method for providing a title key, an apparatus for recording contents on the disc, and a content providing server are provided to prevent an illegal title key from being recorded and a plurality of disks from being recorded by communicating the disc key and the title key with a sever. A method for recording contents on a disc comprises: a step of transmitting a disc key(631) to a server(610); a step of receiving a title key(614) which is encrypted with the disc key of a disc recording the contents in a recording device(620) from the server; and a step of recording the title key which is encrypted with the disc key and the contents on the disc.
