SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING ACCIDENT IN A TUNNEL

A system and a method for monitoring accident in a tunnel are provided to rapidly manage the accident by sensing the occurrence of accident in a tunnel in initial. An accident monitor system at a tunnel comprises a tunnel monitor(100) and a main server portion(200). The tunnel monitor takes a picture of the internal environment of tunnel. The tunnel monitors compare video frames which are set up with photographed video frames. The tunnel monitors determines or expect the occurrence of accident through the comparison of the frames. In case the accident occurrence is predicted, the tunnel monitors produces warning information and delivers the warning information to outside. The main server portion indicates the warning message based on the warning information of tunnel monitors.
