THE SWEETENER HAVING EFFECT FOR DECREASING BLOOD-SUGAR LEVEL

A low calorie sweetener composition containing xylose is provided to inhibit the absorption of sugar in order to lower the concentration of sugar in the blood, thereby enabling diabetics to eat the sweetener composition without side effects. A low calorie sweetener composition is composed of 75-97 parts of sugar and 3-25 parts of xylose. The low calorie sweetener composition has a formulation of powder, granule or liquid. When a user eats the low calorie sweetener, the maximum glucose value, which shows 30 minutes after the intake of the sweetener, is relatively lower than existing sweeteners. A time for the glucose value to be stabilized to a value before the intake of the sweetener is relatively short. The sweetener suppresses the increase in a blood sugar level and shortens the recovery time to a normal glucose value.
