A method for producing a trospium chloride which is useful as an antimuscarinic and anticonvulsive drug is provided to perform heating reflux in a short time without by-product and minimize the reaction process. A method for manufacturing trispium chloride comprises: a step of reacting 1,4-dichlorobutane of the chemical formula 3 with norditropin benzylate hydrochloride of the chemical formula 5 under the presence of 1,8-diazabicyclo[5,4,0]undec-7-ene; and a step of filtering reactant. The amount of usage of 1,8-diazabicyclo[5,4,0]undec-7-ene is 2.2-2.5 equivalent to 1 equivaltent of norditropin benzylate hydrochloride. A reaction solvent of norditropin benzylate hydrochloride and 1,4-dichlobutane is acetonitrile.
