A method and a system for controlling call reception in a mobile terminal are provided to prevent denial of an incoming international call by preventing an incorrect operation, which is generated by passing an international telephone provider section. A call connection message for connecting a call is received. It is determined whether the received call is an international call or not based on the call connection message(S440). Attribute of the call is set up based on a determination result. A reception denial logic for reducing reception of the call of a predetermined caller is canceled or set up based on the attribute of the call(S460). An incoming process for the call is performed(S470).
