A sewing machine for making a buttonhole is provided to sew core yarn properly without degradation of sewing quality by forming a plurality of needle vibration stitch precisely to a transfer direction of cloth. A sewing machine for making a buttonhole includes the followings: a vertical moving unit(20) moving a needle stand up and down; a needle vibration unit(30) shaking the needle stand; a looper unit(40) forming a stitch on processing cloth with the needle stand; a moving unit moving the processing cloth according to a horizontal plane; a core yarn guide unit guiding an end part of core yarn between needle vibration stitches; a memory unit memorizing sewing data to form the stitch of a buttonhole stitch; and a control unit performing the stitch of the buttonhole stitch around a buttonhole based on the sewing data.
