A method for polymerizing olefins is provided to reduce fouling generation within a polymerization reactor, to improve productivity while using inexpensive catalyst, and to reduce density of a polymer while using a small amount of alpha-olefin comonomer. A method for polymerizing olefins comprises a step for vapor-polymerizing one or more olefins in the presence of a catalyst, wherein the flow rate of the circulation gas of a reactor(20) in which the gas phase polymerization is performed is 0.1-1.5 m/second. The catalyst comprises an organometallic compound represented by chemical formula 1: M^1R^1_lR^2_mR^3_n or R^2_mR^3_nM^1R^1_l-Q-R^1_lM^1R^2_mR^3_n; aluminoxane; and an organic transition metal compound represented by chemical formula 1: M^2R^4_pX_q.
