A method for sharing a watching program in an IPTV is provided to designate only a sharing point that a user wants to share a program, thereby easily sharing a desired program in real time without a special storage device. The first user set top box(C1) transmits a sharing request message to an IPTV service providing server(SL). The IPTV server providing server transmits a sharing request notification message corresponding to the sharing request message to the second user set top box(C2). The second user set top box checks the sharing request notification message. The second user set top box transmits a sharing acceptance message to the IPTV server providing server. The second user set top box accesses a channel through which the program is watched by using sharing channel information included in the sharing request notification message. |
