PHOTO SENSOR AND PLAT PANEL DISPLAY USING THE SAME

An optical sensor and a flat panel display using the same are provided to increase the dynamic range of the optical sensor by amplifying the current outputted from the optical sensor in order to increase the current amount. An optical sensor comprises: a first transistor(M11) having a first electrode connecting to a first power source and a second electrode connecting to a second power source; a photo diode(PD1) in which the first electrode is connected to the first power source and which the second electrode is connected to a second node; a second transistor(M21) in which the first electrode is connected to a cathode electrode of the photo diode, and which the second electrode is connected to the second node; a third transistor(M31) in which the first electrode is connected to the second node and which a gate is connected to a reset signal line; a fourth transistor(M41) in which the first electrode is connected to the first node and which the second electrode is connected to a first output node; a fifth transistor(M51) in which the first electrode is connected to the first node and which the gate is connected to a second control line; and a first capacitor(Cst1) in which the first electrode is connected to the first power source and the second electrode is connected to the second node.
