A display device and a control method thereof are provided to select one of overlapped stimuli. Sensing electrodes(141,142) are arranged in a matrix type to output sensing signals as response to an external stimulus. A calculating unit(310) divides a display panel into a plurality of sensing regions based on coordinates of the first stimulus group. The first stimulus group outputs the sensing signals as response to the first stimulus. If the second stimulus is generated from a sensing region selected among the sensing regions within a predetermined sensing time range, a location determining unit(320) determines coordinates of the second stimulus group as a stimulus location.
