A method and a system for inputting location information of a home network device are provided to insert a control icon to a corresponding position of a virtual plane by recognizing the location of the home network device and generating the control icon for controlling the recognized home network device. A home network device connected to the home network of a home is recognized. A control icon corresponding to the recognized home network device is generated(S3). A virtual plane which including a plurality of domain blocks corresponding to a unit space of the home is formed(S4). The corresponding control icon is inserted into each domain block(S6).
