A head up display device for a vehicle is provided to comfortably inform a driver of the travel information by enlarging viewable area for the head up display of a driver. A head up display device for a vehicle is composed of a panel(110) indicating the driving image information of a vehicle, a lens(120) projecting the image after enlarging the driving image information indicated in the panel, and a mirror(130) projecting the projected the driving image information to the driver and generating a virtual image. The panel has the resolution different of the inputted driving image information. The mirror is the aspherical combiner.
