The bag (10) has an annexed strip (16) connected to a fold up part of the top of the bag, and to an outer surface of one of lateral walls (12) arranged above a folded part. A U shaped handle (22) has free ends that are connected to the bag. The handle is adhered to the lateral wall so that a U shaped base is moved towards the bottom of the bag with respect to the free ends before folding the top of the bag. A part above a folded down folding line (14) is flatten against a bag's outer wall that does not support the handle. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing and closing a bag.
