<p>The device comprises a tank with a sealed lid and sealable openings for monitoring, a grid totally immersed in liquid, and a solid wood core having a well-defined surface area equal to a product of liquid volume (Vliq) and wood/liquid surface area per unit volume (SCUV). The chevrons are recyclable by rubbing out impregnated surfaces. The device is further constituted of small wooden sticks (CSUV) to be tested. The tank is a bottle having any volume. Fluid such as wood water or fluid from culinary preparations is used for gustatory interaction.
