FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plasma engineering and can be used in plasma chemistry, powder metallurgy, power engineering, as well as other engineering fields. The method of generating three-dimensional plasma involves application of voltage to electrodes in a gas and initiating a discharge. An arc discharge is ignited and an arc plasma channel is formed. The channel is moved in space using magnetic field. In its track, three-dimensional microwave plasma is excited by application of electromagnetic waves to the channel.
