ENDOSCOPE WASHING AND DISINFECTING APPARATUS AND LEAK DETECTION METHOD BY THE ENDOSCOPE WASHING AND DISINFECTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically detect the leak of an insertion portion while driving the bending portion of an endoscope in respective directions during a leak detecting operation.

SOLUTION: The endoscope washing and disinfecting apparatus 1 includes: a bending transmitting portion 55 for bending the bending part 54 of the insertion portion 52 of the endoscope 50 provided in a grasping portion 51; a connecting portion 30 provided in a washing tub 4 and connected to the bending transmitting portion 55 of the grasping portion 51 to transmit driving force to the bending transmitting portion 55; a distal end driving portion 21 for transmitting the driving force to the bending transmitting portion 55 of the endoscope 50 through the connecting portion 30 and bending the bending portion 54; a pressure detecting portion 105; and a control portion 102 for controlling the distal end driving portion 21 so as to detect the leak inside the endoscope 50 while driving the distal end driving portion 21 and bending the bending part 54 in respective directions when detecting the leak, comparing a pressure by the pressure detecting portion 105 with a preset threshold in the leak detecting operation and determining the presence/absence of the leak inside the endoscope 50 on the basis of the result.
