THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDED BODY THEREOF

Disclosed is a thermoplastic resin composition which enables formation of a molded body having improved strength and surface gloss. The thermoplastic resin composition contains 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin (a) and 0.5-30 parts by weight of a core/shell polymer composition (b). The thermoplastic resin composition is characterized in that the core/shell polymer composition (b) is obtained by polymerizing a shell-constituting component in the presence of a core which is obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture (100% by weight in total) composed of 70-99.95% by weight of an alkyl acrylate having an alkyl group with 2-18 carbon atoms, 0.05-10% by weight of a polyfunctional monomer, and 0-20% by weight of a monomer which is copolymerizable with the alkyl acrylate and the polyfunctional monomer. The thermoplastic resin composition is also characterized in that the polyfunctional monomer is composed of one or more members selected from the group consisting of polypropylene glycol diacrylates and polypropylene glycol dimethacrylates, and the molecular weight of the components in the core/shell polymer composition (b), which are soluble in methyl ethyl ketone but insoluble in methanol, is not less than 500,000.
