A processing method, an apparatus and a system for canceling the network handover are provided. They include that: after receiving the handover cancellation message originated from the source access network element or the user equipment, the target mobility management network element notifies the target user plane network element to delete the resource assigned for UE; the target user plane network element deletes the resource assigned for UE after receiving the request. The above scheme can effectively avoid the resource waste of the target network.
