<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and effectively notify a schedule. <P>SOLUTION: In a scheduler device, a user who has created schedule information transmits electronic mail to which schedule information has been attached to another user relevant to the schedule, and each user who has received this electronic mail returns electronic mail declaring his or her attendance/absence for the schedule to all the users relevant to the schedule. The portable telephone set of each user detects the attendance/absence circumstances declared by the returned electronic mail, and stores it as the status of each user. Then, when the alarm time of the schedule comes, status information showing the user name and attendance/absence of each user is attached to a static image such as the face photograph of each user relevant to the schedule, and the static image of each user is displayed at a display part, and the static image of each user is displayed so as to be surrounded by a frame whose color corresponds to the status.
