LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND COLOR FILTER USED FOR THE SAME

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display obtaining a luminous red chromaticity having deepness even though a white LED is adopted for a backlight, and to provide a color filter having red color reproducibility matched with the backlight and provided with a red pixel having a satisfactory pattern shape.

SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display includes: the backlight provided with a white LED device in which a blue LED, a red color emitting fluorescent body and a green color emitting fluorescent body are combined; and the color filter provided with colored pixels of a plurality of colors including the red pixel on a transparent substrate, wherein the light emitting spectrum of the white LED device has first, second and third peak wavelengths, the red pixel is formed of a cured product of a red photosensitive coloring composition containing 0.1 to 20 wt.% multifunctional thiol based on the total solid content of the red photosensitive coloring composition and the red chromaticity of the liquid crystal display is in the range formed by connecting four points in a chromaticity coordinates xy.
