BIOMASS GASIFICATION METHOD AND BIOMASS GASIFICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of safely and efficiently gasifying biomass with supercritical water by controlling the amount of supply of biomass and water contained in the biomass, and to provide a biomass gasification system capable of controlling the amount of supply of biomass and water contained in the biomass.

SOLUTION: The biomass gasification method includes a pretreatment step of producing a biomass slurry containing a nonmetal catalyst by subjecting the biomass to hot-water treatment in a temperature range of 100-250°C and a pressure range of 0.1-4 MPa in the presence of the nonmetal catalyst; a supplying step of supplying the slurry containing the nonmetal catalyst to a reactor using a slurry-supplying device; and a reaction step of producing gas by subjecting the slurry supplied to the reactor to hot-water treatment at a temperature of 374°C or higher and a pressure of 22.1 MPa or higher, wherein the supplying step further includes a control step of controlling the amount of supply of the slurry to be supplied to the reactor by controlling the operation frequency of the slurry-supplying device.
