发明名称 METHOD FOR DETECTING/CONTROLLING CONSTRICTION IN CONSUMABLE ELECTRODE ARC WELDING
摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of spatter by detecting constriction of a droplet and rapidly reducing a welding current in consumable electrode arc welding, and also to make this spatter reducing effect workable even for a large advance angle.
SOLUTION: The constrictive phenomenon of a droplet is detected by the fact that a change in a voltage value Vw between a consumable electrode and a base metal reaches a reference value Vtn for detecting the constriction, thereby rapidly reducing a welding current Iw to regenerate arc in a state of a low electric current value. With an advance angle setting signalθr becoming larger, the reference value Vtn for detecting the constriction is made smaller. As a result, a sensitivity for detecting the constriction is increased, making the constriction to be detected faster. Consequently, since a time from the detection of the constriction until the regeneration of arc can be made longer, droplet transfer is mostly complete immediately after the regeneration of arc, so that occurrence of spatter can be suppressed.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
