PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high serviceability by front-loading and high accuracy in a distance between a grid surface and an image carrier and then to prevent deformation or rupture of a grid wire. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has constitution where a corona electrifier can be detachably attached from the front of the image forming apparatus, and a positioning member which has a positioning part supporting the image carrier and regulating a distance between a photoreceptor drum and the corona electrifier. The corona electrifier has a butting member to be pressed and butted against the positioning member in a state where the corona electrifier is disposed at the positioning part of the positioning member. If the butting member has a portion where a grid surface is disposed, a lower part of a passage path of the corona electrifier on the positioning member is formed in clearance shape so that the grid surface may not come into contact with the positioning member during attachment/detachment between the grid surface of the corona electrifier and the positioning member.
