PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for shortening an apparent start time on a virtual machine program in order to solve the problem that a user is given anxiety since anything is not displayed for a while after a power is supplied due to processing such as the download or start-up of a virtual machine in a home information appliances with a CPU whose processing speed is not so high. SOLUTION: In a broadcasting receiver, the communication means of an embedded program and a virtual machine program is provided to achieve a part of functions which should be originally operated by the virtual machine program (reproduction part 1202b) by the embedded program (reproduction Lib 1205f), and to execute it during the start-up processing of the virtual machine program, so that it is possible to shorten an apparent start time, and to enable the virtual machine program to consistently succeed the operating circumstances of the embedded program until that time to operate when the start-up of the virtual machine program is completed.
