PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device which improves a degree of abutting a circuit board, on which a reference potential pattern is formed, and a conductive case member layered and disposed on a reference potential pattern side of the circuit board. SOLUTION: A mobile phone 1 includes: a circuit board 70 with a reference potential pattern layer 75 formed on a first side 70a; and a conductive case member 60 which is layered and disposed on a side of the first side 70a of the circuit board 70 and includes the bottom face 162 of ribs 62a as an abutting part to be disposed while facing the reference potential pattern layer 75. In the reference potential pattern layer 75, a circuit board side recessed portion 171 is formed which is recessed in a thickness direction on the circuit board 70 and on a bottom face 162 of the ribs 62a, a case body side projecting portion 163 is formed which is at least partially inserted into the circuit board side recessed portion 171.
