PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peeling cosmetic that easily removes excessive keratin and has high safety without imposing a burden on the skin and a method for using the same. SOLUTION: The peeling cosmetic comprises a first peeling cosmetic containing anα-hydroxy acid such as glycolic acid etc., and having a pH of 3.5-5.0 and a second peeling cosmetic containing an aqueous gel-forming polymer, which are stored in different containers.
