PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush having a superior dust sweeping property and retaining property of liquid such as cleaning liquid, having an improved strength of a bristle material and capable of preventing the occurrence of uneven coating. SOLUTION: This brush 10 for use in coating or the like, has a brush part 11 formed by bundling bristle materials, and a handle part 12, wherein the brush part 11 is formed by mixing bristle materials 11a consisting of synthetic resin monofilaments formed with helical recessed parts or/and projecting parts in the longitudinal direction of the outer circumferential faces, and bristle materials 11b formed into crimped state.
