<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, capable of reducing image distortion or color shift without providing a rotating phase adjustment mechanism of an image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes a gear 42 which branches and transmits a driving force from a motor to a plurality of photoreceptor drums 22; and at least one pinion gear 41 which is provided between the motor and the gear 42, and rotates an integral number of times while an intermediate transfer body is carried in a distance between adjacent transfer positions of a plurality of transfer positions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
