HUMAN TESTIS-SPECIFIC SERINE/THREONINE KINASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human testis-specific kinase (tssk) gene family as target genes for contraceptives, and to provide a protein corresponding to the gene family.

SOLUTION: The testis-specific kinase family (tssk family) is provided. A nucleic acid sequence encoding the testis-specific kinase and an antibody against the kinase are also provided. Furthermore, the use of the kinase as a target for isolating a specific inhibitor or as an antagonist of the tssk kinase activity is provided. The inhibitor is expected to be used as a contraceptive.
