<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for dispensing fluid at a conventionally measurable flow rate and a method related with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes an appliance comprising three chambers. The first chamber 10 of a fixed volume contains a pressurized gas 12. A solenoid valve is used to control the gas flow from the first chamber into the second chamber 11. The second chamber is sealed so that the combined air mass in the first and second chambers can be kept fixed. The third chamber 14 is adjacent to the second chamber and contains an incompressible form of medication that is to be administered to a human or animal subject via an appropriate delivery port. A piston is disposed between the second and third chambers, which can be moved in response to the gas flow into the second chamber to dispense a fluid 13 from the third chamber as much as desired. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
