<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a time is required for authentication, when there are too many registered persons in 1:N authentication, in biometric authentication and facial authentication which require a certain extent of time for a single collation. <P>SOLUTION: Feature data of the persons are narrowed in response to an existing zone, in the 1:N authentication, to be collated thereafter.
