PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus for restricting the transmission of image data based on a document having a predetermined form described therein, and to provide a control method thereof, a program and a storage medium. SOLUTION: An HTML document is acquired from a Web server via a network. If a file type input element is described on the HTML document when the screen based on the HTML document is displayed by a Web browser, it is decided whether or not the transmission of image data to be transmitted based on the description of the file type input element should be restricted, and the transmission of the image data is restricted in accordance with a result of decision.
