PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rainwater storage tank having an impervious means without a sheet wherein water cutoff work is easy without requiring experienced skills and labors, a period for construction is shortened so as to reduce construction cost, shielding performance is improved and reliability for the storage tank can be raised. SOLUTION: The rainwater storage tank is composed of a recessed part 3 excavated in the ground 1, a filling laminated body 5 formed by laminating and joining filling members such as a plurality of floor panels 9, a ceiling panel 11 and a side panel 13 and disposed in the recess 3, and an impervious means 7 blocking water and preventing sand/soil from entering between the bottom wall and the sidewall of the recess 3 and the filling laminated body 5. A water absorption swelling sealing packing 27 is interposed between the joints 19 or the like of the filling member such as the floor panel 9 adjacent to the recess part 3 in the filling laminated body 5.
