PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and surely preventing a theft of a cable winding bobbin by an inexpensive technique. SOLUTION: The present invention provides the theft prevention method of the bobbin for winding a cable 20. This method comprises a step for inserting at least a part 31 of at least one of crime-prevention instruments (3A, 3B) into at least one shaft hole 13a of the cable winding bobbin and making the part engaged with a bobbin inner structure 120 around the shaft hole, and a step for mounting the crime-prevention instrument to the shaft hole 13a so that the crime-prevention instrument (3A or 3B) may not slip from the shaft hole 13a.
